COVID-19 has forced some simplification for much of our beer shopping experiences, including online ordering and what styles are thriving amidst the pandemic. Arguably the biggest winner has been the fruit beer category.
However you want to slice timeframes, these beers have shown the strongest percentage growth in 2020. Even the narrative about the rise of "craft Lager" doesn't hold up to the fruit category, which has outsold IRI-defined "craft" Lager by about $20 million in chain retail. These flavored brands include the likes of Golden Road Mango Cart, Odell Sippin' Pretty, Abita's strawberry and raspberry Lagers, and more.
