One of the best meals I had all year was at Hinterland's Erie Street Gastropub in Milwaukee's Third Ward neighborhood. James Beard nominee Chef Dan Van Rite produces stellar small plates with seasonal and local ingredients that pair beautifully with the the Green Bay, Wisconsin brewery's incredible beers. The Hinterland Luna Coffee Stout is something you should be looking for now. And a train ticket from Chicago to Milwaukee should already be in your pocket.
