Omar Foda
Omar Foda writes on the history of beer in the Middle East. His book, Egypt’s Beer: Stella, Identity and the Modern State, argues the history of Egypt’s beer, Stella, provides a new way to understand the radical changes that have happened to the country in the last century and a half. He was a Middle East and North Africa Librarian at George Washington University and has taught at Bryn Mawr College, Towson University, and the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Syracuse.
