These days, there are some really unique and exciting roles in craft breweries beyond brewing itself. As these small companies grow, partner up, and extend their reach, many craft breweries are working hard to find new ways of telling their stories and connecting with craft beer drinkers around the globe. And that means that social media, marketing, and storytelling are becoming an integral part of the success of some breweries.
Today’s guest is one of the best in the business. Ken Hunnemeder of Goose Island is someone I’ve been a fan of for some time now. He’s one of the drinking duo behind Hopcast, he’s a great musician, and he’s Goose Island’s resident storyteller — producing funny, smart, often romantic and beautiful stories for Goose through the medium of film. And this year, I got the chance to work alongside Ken on an ambitious project called Grit & Grain, the history of Bourbon County Stout.
