Good Beer Hunting

Nov 19th — Live podcast + sour beer tasting with Eric Salazar of New Belgium

New Belgium is one of the pioneers of wood-aged sour ales in the U.S. dating back to the early 90s.

Using a variety of wine and spirits barrels and a massive Foudre "forest" in Fort Collins, Colorado, the folks at New Belgium have been making some of the best and most respected sour beers in the country. Inspired by historical methods, people like Lauren Limbach (formerly Salazar) and Eric Salazar, alongside New Belgium brewmaster Peter Bouckaert, are continuously exploring new territory.

In the run-up to Chicago's Festival of Barrel Aged Beer (FoBAB) we're hosting a special live podcast recording with Eric Salazar, New Belgium's Wood Aged Beer Specialist, with a small audience so we can taste through some of their best known sours, including Eric's Ale, the recently re-released namesake beer made with peaches.

Free event, RSVP required.

ID and name will be checked at the door. 21+ only. RSVP reserves a place, entertainment, and snacks. No alcohol will be sold. Sampling only.
