There were barely any phones in the air during Solomon O.B.’s transfixing set, which was one way you could tell everyone was feeling it. It was hot, we were sweaty, but everyone was dancing. It’s not often you see a crowd let loose in the moment like this, but when you do, it’s unforgettable.
And it wasn’t like everyone loved the band and knew all the words. This was the Chai Wallah’s stage, a place for “emerging artists” within the confines of Green Man Festival—an event held annually in Wales' Brecon Beacons National Park. This was people connecting with music they’d never heard before.
I was in awe, sipping on a Pipes' California Pale Ale. And now, every time I revisit that beverage, I’m transported back to that special night where I was surrounded by ecstatic strangers and spellbinding art. Talk about a beer to remember.
