At Copenhagen Beer Festival Boston this past weekend, Mikkel Borg Bjergsø made the rounds, stopping by various booths to meet with brewers. Many thanked him for putting on a great event, others chatted him up about what he plans to do next. Derek Gallanosa, head brewer of Abnormal Beer Company, eagerly greeted him with a bottle of his brewery’s latest beer. Needing one palm to shake hands, the other to tote around a sample glass, Bjergsø’s options for accepting the bottle were limited. But he made do.
