The overriding goal with GBH has always been to furiously document a moment in time. Having been inspired by photographers who were embedded in formative cultures, like jazz, or hip-hop, or the Left Bank of Paris (get after that Microfiche), I've tried to remind myself that it won't always be this way. There won't always be this nascent, raw beginning to everything that 50 years from now, I still love.
It's why we push so hard to tell as many stories as we can right now.
This is one of those photos that I'll look back on, and shake my head, and not fully believe I was there to see it begin. I'll tell you more soon.
