Good Beer Hunting

b-Roll no. 67

Last night, John Hall, the founder of Goose Island and still the owner of the two brewpubs, celebrated 26 years of brewing at the original Clybourn Ave. location by personally handing out bottles of Bourbon County Rare to some lucky guests. In preparation for the anniversary, Hall and the team completely renovated the old library and dining areas, and put in a new front bar. The original bar area, however, remains untouched — a perfect time capsule of Chicago craft brewing in the late 80s.
