Good Beer Hunting

b-Roll no. 54

One of the most impressive pieces of the Unibroue operation in Quebec has nothing to do with the beer. It's all about the bottles — wherever they may come from. Canada pushed brewers to voluntarily adopt an industry standard long-neck brown bottle so they could be returned and reused by any participating brewer in the country. The result is billions of beer bottles returned and put back into circulation, sometimes more than 15 times before they reach the end of their life cycle. It's a great example of micro/macro systems working together.
