DryHop Brewers is Gathering Steam — Lakeview Location Breaks Ground

After a couple seasons' worth of collaborating, including the GBHxBSSG Wandawega Weekend, and the launch of their website, I've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Greg, Brant and Pete of DryHop brewers for some time now, and things are finally heating up. The crew recently broke ground on their Lakeview Gastro-Brewpub location (just up the street from Intelligentsia Cafe). They poured the concrete floors and sectioned off the brew space as well as the bar.

While it's still in the early stages of a build-out, it's still easy to get excited. Greg and I grabbed a coffee and took a tour — looking at blueprints and outlining the walls for the stacked serving tanks, kitchen, mill room and plenty more in this modest space. Recently Greta deParry started working on some rustic hardwood tables, and a new boiler was installed upstairs. Crews were hard at work with the plumbing. And as soon as the floors set, they'll start finishing.

Stay tuned. Tanks are scheduled to arrive on March 4th, and their aiming for a full launch later this Spring. Stay tuned for a ton of photos and the complete story soon. In the meantime, look for their collaboration beers on tap around town, including brews with Begyle, Hamburger Mary's, Haymarket and more. These guys aren't sitting around waiting for paperwork — they're brewers after all.
