Good Beer Hunting

no. 170

Before heading into the wilderness for a week-long backpacking trip, I joined a few life-long friends in Seattle to explore a new city together. We spent the morning wandering aimlessly through Pike Place Market while stuffing our faces full of fresh oysters, clam chowder, and fried fish.

Seafood—and constantly trying to avoid getting stuck in between mobs of tourists—makes you thirsty, so it wasn't long before we escaped to nearby Old Stove Brewing Co. Old Stove happens to be one of Seattle's newest breweries, and it’s actually kind of refreshing walking into a new brewery with zero expectations and no presumptions to distract from the experience. The IPAs were spot on.
