Last week, we kicked off the Forbidden Root botanic beer cocktail series at Smallbar Division. Using Sublime Ginger, a ginger and key lime gruit-like beer as the base, Craig Hiljus riffed on a Pimm's Cup recipe, using gin, a house borage syrup, and a borage flower garnish that he grew in his own backyard, which provides a slight cucumber quality. It was delicious. And it's still available until the beer runs dry.
