On a whirlwind tour of LA breweries, a shop owner and serious beer guy, Rob Roda, called me down to Long Beach for a visit. After a morning browsing the local flea market, we reconvened at his shop, Orn Hansen which he co-owns with Rodella Bas. It's an incredibly well-curated place.
Rob also happens to rep for Epic. On this cool, sunny afternoon, he poured their Hopulent IPA and the Big Bad Baptist, a big bourbon barrel aged stout with plenty of coffee and cocoa nib. His neighbor from Lord Windsor coffee roasters swung by and we commenced with some solid day-drinking.
